Six months after surgery, you can see the result of a submuscular breast augmentation performed on a patient in her early thirties. Dr. Pathak used a Dual Plane II technique, which positions the implant partly beneath the pectoralis muscle to allow the muscle to shape the upper portion of the breast while the lower pole follows the natural breast tissue. It further gave more control in positioning the nipple areolar complex without a lift. Mentor silicone gel implants were placed through an inframammary incision, keeping the scar within the fold beneath the breast.

The after photo shows noticeably increased volume and forward projection compared to the before image, with the contour visible clearly from the lateral view.
