Case Notes
A Dual Plane technique was used for this breast augmentation in a 29-year-old patient who came in wearing an A/Small B cup and wanted to more fill and cleavage in and out of a bra. Her goal was to be an "obvious C Cup." Sientra 325cc highly cohesive gel implants were placed submuscularly through an inframammary incision. The Dual Plane I approach releases the lower portion of the pectoralis muscle, letting the implant sit correctly relative to the breast tissue above it. That release also allows the implant to settle without the muscle pulling it out of position over time. The after photo is a lateral view taken at 12 months post-op, once swelling had fully resolved and the implants had reached their final position. Individual results vary.
