Case Notes
This is a Type 2 gynecomastia case in a 30-year-old male, shown ten weeks after surgery. The plan combined two techniques: peri-areolar direct gland excision to remove the firm breast tissue sitting beneath the nipple-areolar complex, and liposuction of the chest and lateral chest wall to address the surrounding fatty tissue and improve overall chest contour. Type 2 gynecomastia involves both glandular and fatty components, which is why liposuction alone wouldn't have been sufficient here. The after photo, taken at the ten-week mark, shows the chest wall with the breast projection visible in the before photo no longer present. Swelling at ten weeks is still resolving, so the final result continues to develop beyond this point.
